Despite the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon, the Israeli regime, after suffering a humiliating defeat, is desperately trying to salvage its lost reputation by bombing residential areas. According to a report by Al-Jazeera cited by Tasnim, on the second day of the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, the Israeli regime bombed southern regions under false pretenses, later claiming that the target of the attack was a Hezbollah ammunition depot. In another move, a vehicle in the southern border areas of Lebanon was targeted. Following the ceasefire agreement signed on Wednesday, the Israeli army claimed that it had targeted a medium-range missile depot belonging to Hezbollah with its fighter jets. In this regard, “Naziyeh Eid,” the mayor of the city of “Baysarieh,” emphasized that Israeli fighter jets targeted areas of the city after the ceasefire agreement was signed. On the other hand, a reporter from Al-Jazeera network reported that in an Israeli drone attack on a vehicle in the border region of “Markaba,” three people were injured. While the Israeli army claims that these three individuals were attempting to infiltrate occupied territories and carry out a suicide attack, the army’s radio claimed that the drone’s objective was to move the vehicle away from the prohibited area and not to kill the passengers.Reuters also reported that an Israeli tank fired two shells toward the city of “Markaba,” injuring two people. While the ceasefire forbids any offensive operations, Lebanon’s state news agency reported that an Israeli tank of the “Merkava” type fired several shells towards the cities of “Al-Wazani” and “Kafr Shuba” in southern Lebanon. The agency also added that the Israeli army fired several artillery shells toward the cities of “Al-Taybah,” “Al-Khiam,” and “Marjayoun” in the Nabatieh province. As a result of these actions, Lebanese MP Hassan Fadlallah emphasized the need to confront the Israeli regime’s attacks, adding: “Today, it has been proven to everyone that Lebanon urgently needs the unity and solidarity of its citizens and the formation of a strong army to confront the regime’s attacks.”It is worth noting that the ceasefire agreement was signed on Wednesday morning between Hezbollah and Israel, after which tens of thousands of Lebanese refugees returned to southern Lebanon, while the Israeli army’s bombing of civilian areas and villages failed to achieve even its smallest designated goals. The Israeli regime’s attacks during this war resulted in the martyrdom of 3,961 people and the injury of 16,520 others. On the other hand, Hezbollah fighters, through their bravery, prevented Israeli forces from capturing even a single village, and in addition, they killed 124 Israeli soldiers, destroying 9,000 buildings and 7,000 vehicles in the occupied territories.
