Happy birth of Hazrat Seyyed al-Shahda Husayn ibn Ali (peace be upon him)

It is known that he was born in Medina in the third month of Sha’ban. Regarding the year of birth of that famous gentleman, 4 AH. is

Sheikh Tusi (may God have mercy on him) narrated that a noble announcement from Imam al-Zaman (may God hasten his blessings) reached Qasim bin Alaa Hamdani, to the effect that our Master Hussain, peace be upon him, was born on Thursday, the third of the month of Sha’ban, so Fast that day and recite this supplication: “O Allah, I am asking for the birth of this day…” and so on. (My God, by the right born on this day, I ask you to…) until the end of the prayer.[1]

The naming of Imam Husayn ibn Ali (peace be upon him) by God Almighty

It has been narrated from Hazrat Ali bin Musa al-Reza (peace be upon him) that when Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) was born, the Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) said to Asma bint Umays: “Bring me the names of my child.” Asmaa said: “I took him wrapped in a white cloth to the beloved Prophet of Islam, peace and blessings be upon him. He hugged him and called the adhan in his ear and the iqama in his left ear.

At this time, Gabriel (peace be upon him) came down and said that the Blessed and Exalted One greets you and said: Since Hazrat Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him) is like Harun (peace be upon him) compared to Moses (peace be upon him), so make him Name the first name of Harun’s son, peace be upon him, which is Shabir, and since your language is Arabic, name him Husayn.

So the Prophet kissed him and cried, and said: You have a great calamity ahead of you, may God curse his murderer.

So he said: O Asma, don’t tell this story to Fatima (peace be upon her).[2]

The miracle of the birth of Imam Husayn ibn Ali (peace be upon him) and the flow of Futros Malak

It has been narrated from Imam Sadiq (peace be upon him): When Imam Husayn ibn Ali (peace be upon him) was born, the Almighty God commanded Gabriel (peace be upon him) to descend with a thousand angels to bless the birth of the Prophet (peace be upon him) from God. May the Almighty congratulate you.

When Jibreel (peace be upon him) descended, he passed through a Jiziza, in which there was an angel named Futros, who, due to procrastination in doing something, was chosen by the Almighty God to choose between the torment and hardship of this world and the torment of the hereafter. He preferred the hardships of the world, and His Highness exiled him to that island and subjected him to worldly torment.

When Futros saw that Gabriel (peace be upon him) had come with the angels, he asked: Where do you want to go? He said: “Because the Almighty has bestowed a blessing on Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, he has sent me to congratulate him.”

Futros said, “O Gabriel, take me with you, maybe he will pray for me.” until the right of blessing and exaltation passes from me.”

So Gabriel (peace be upon him) took him with him and when they reached the service of the Prophet, they congratulated him and greeted him. And also shared the biography of Futros.

Hazrat said: “Tell him to bless himself with this blessed child, and return to his place.”

Futrus did so and spread his wings and said these words and went up: “O Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, let this child be martyred by your Ummah.” And because of this blessing that came to me from him, it is necessary that whoever visits him, I should convey his visit to Hazrat Imam Husayn ibn Ali (peace be upon him). And whoever greets him, I greet him. And whoever sends blessings on him, I will convey his blessings to him.”

While going up to the sky, Futrus said: “Who is like me, and now I am freed by Husayn ibn Ali, peace be upon him, Fatima, peace be upon him, and Muhammad, peace be upon him.” [3]

Drinking milk from the blessed finger of the Prophet of Islam, peace be upon him

It is narrated that during the birth of Imam Husayn ibn Ali (peace be upon him), his beloved mother Hazrat Zahra (peace be upon him) fell ill, and she was unable to breastfeed her child. The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, sent for a nurse and a nursing woman, but no one was found, so he himself came to the room of Fatimah, may God bless him and grant him peace, and put his index finger in the mouth of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, and It was the same way that the Prophet, peace be upon him, did not drink milk from any woman until he grew up.[4]
