In the Sunday afternoon session of the Cabinet, Massoud Pezeshkian, while commemorating November 4th (13 Aban), National Day of Struggle Against Global Arrogance, stated that all the national values of the Iranian people and the Islamic Revolution, including resistance against oppression, independence, the pursuit of justice, as well as altruism and peace-seeking, are embodied on this day. He added: “We have never been the initiators of war, nor have we ever encouraged any country to go to war. It is the United States that has always instigated wars in various parts of the world, including our region, and today, by supporting the Zionist regime, it continues to fuel the flames of war in the region.”According to the report from ISNA, the President continued by referring to the criminal and aggressive actions of the Zionist regime aimed at escalating war, bloodshed, and conflict in the region. He said: “It was the Zionist regime that, by assassinating martyr Haniyeh on the first day of our government’s formation, was seeking to start a war. Even though we exercised restraint, following recommendations from some countries and hoping for a ceasefire to stop the killing of innocent women and children, they intensified their crimes and expanded their aggression and criminality into Lebanon.”Pezeshkian criticized the hypocritical approach of the U.S. and European countries toward the self-inflicted crisis in the region, stating: “If these countries genuinely do not want war and bloodshed, why do they veto ceasefire resolutions?” He emphasized: “Today, all countries in the region have come to the belief and certainty that the Islamic Republic of Iran is seeking peace and stability in the region, and it is the Zionist regime, supported by the U.S. and Western countries, that is pushing for an escalation of the crisis and war.”The President stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran will never leave any aggression against its territory and security unanswered, addressing the leaders of the Zionist regime: “They know very well that if they make any mistake against the Islamic Republic of Iran, they will receive a crushing response. However, if they reconsider their behavior, accept a ceasefire, and stop the killing of innocent people in the region, this may affect the type and intensity of our response.”Pezeshkian described the behavior of those claiming to be human rights defenders in response to the massacre of thousands of innocent women and children in Gaza and Lebanon by the Zionist regime and the U.S. as disgraceful and shameful. He added: “We have never dropped bombs or missiles on the women and children of any country, nor have we deprived any people of water, food, and medicine, but they have committed all these inhumane crimes and, without shame, accuse Iran of baseless allegations, hoping to force nations to comply with their demands. This is a false hope, and the free people of the world have never bowed to oppression and will never do so.”In another part of his speech, the President referred to his recent visit to the holy city of Qom, where he met with Ayatollahs Subhani, Noori Hamdani, Javadi Amoli, Makarem Shirazi, and Shabiri Zanjani. He said: “In these meetings, the revered religious scholars expressed satisfaction with the government’s approach focused on unity and the overall performance of the administration. They recommended that we work to reduce the economic problems and win the people’s satisfaction through cooperation with other governing bodies, and the government will certainly continue on this path with all its strength and, with God’s help, will realize
