  • According to Fars News Agency, “It’s still a long way to reach the spirit of the Sacred Defense era”… During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when various segments of the population had mobilized for mutual aid and campaigns to provide food packages for families affected by the economic downturn, the waiver of rent for homes and shops, and similar initiatives became widespread across the country, just when we were about to praise the solidarity of the people and their commitment and concern for their fellow humans, my grandmother would say: “You’re still far from reaching the spirit of the Sacred Defense era, the days when people would give away their bracelets and earrings to support the frontlines of the war”… The “Mothers of Al-Quds” working group, within the “Motherhood Movement” initiative, was one of the motherly circles that was the first to collect money and gold for the people of Gaza.It wasn’t long before the second half of 2023 and the day when the storm broke out from the bravery of the children of the land of olives. It was when Israel began its brutal attacks on Gaza in retaliation for the defeat in the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. It seemed as though the call for action had been sounded for the people of Iran as well. As the atrocities of the child-killing Israeli regime intensified, the Iranian people’s thirst to help the besieged people of Gaza grew. The opening of a path for sending financial aid to Gaza was the glimmer of hope everyone had been waiting for. From that moment on, the Iranian people were put to the test, and in the midst of it, the banner of pride was placed in the hands of the courageous Iranian women. These women, inspired by their mothers from the Sacred Defense era, gave up their gold for the mothers of Gaza and inscribed their names in the ranks of the women of the resistance front
